Ancient Spanish Monastery
Newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst purchased these
cloisters in Spain in 1925. Meticulously taken apart and
transported in 11,000 wooden crates, the materials were
stored in a New York City warehouse until the Monastery was
reassembled in Miami in 1952. Today, visitors to the ancient
Spanish Monastery experience a structure which dates back to
the twelfth century.
