This sample itinerary allows you to experience the culture and lifestyle of the beautiful people of south India, Kerala, known as "God's own Country." Arrive Cochin and enjoy city life, then head to the rural country for trekking and village visits. You then explore the Backwaters of Kerala, which is the best way to experience the laid back way of life as you glide through the waters on a a luxurious rice barge. Then a luxury wellness beach resort becomes your home base as you explore the region with private guides, and relax in the evenings with Ayurvedic spa treatments.

SAMPLE ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive Cochin
Meet and Greet services upon arrival at Cochin Airport. You will be assisted with your luggage, and transferred via private luxury sedan to your hotel.
Full day of leisure. Depending on your arrival time, you may wish you enjoy a quick city tour, and dinner by the sea, which will give yo full view of the fishermen coming in from a day's work.

Day 2: Cochin
Experience the sights of Cochin with a private guide. Explore St Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Fort Kochi, and the Jewish Synagogue, as well as your own interests.
Evening proceed for Kathakali dance, the icon of Kerala, at local theatre. This dance form involves elaborate makeup, bright costumes; intricate hand, body, facial and even eye movement.

Day 3: Munnar
Leisurely breakfast, then transfer to Munnar. You will be surrounded by nature, yet pampered in 5-Star accommodations located near the mystical Attukad waterfalls.
Upon arrival, you will be treated to a 45 minute complimentary massage. Then swim the Infinity Pool, with its view of the Falls surrounded by the lush green tea plantations.

Day 4: Munnar Trekking Adventure
Leisurely breakfast, then trek with your private naturalist guide through the tea plantations all the way up to the Attukad waterfalls. On the way, meet people from the local community. Once you reach the falls you can rest, and enjoy a boxed lunch. Return to the hotel with your guide at a leisurely pace. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the spa, pool, or gardens.

Day 5: Munnar Leisure Day
Today you are free to enjoy the resort, the spa, take a cooking class or a chocolate making class....or if you prefer adventure, we can arrange for you to have lunch with a local family, and spend the afternoon on their farm helping to milk cows and experience a day in their life.

Day 6: Transfer to Thekkady
Today, you will experience a short 3.5 hour ride via private luxury sedan to Thekkady. Undulating, green hills. Thick forests. Shimmering lakes. Cool, spice-scented air. Thekkady is a must visit ...and we have you at the only 5-Star property in the area. At this luxuriantly green destination you will rejuvenate mind and body, and watch your soul soar.

Day 7: Periyar National Park
Enjoy breakfast, and then you are off on a trek through the Periyar Tiger Reserve at 9 am. Your trekking group will consist of a maximum of five visitors, five guides and two forest officials. On this trek, prepare to meet elephants, Nilgirilangurs, giant squirrels and even tigers.
Day 9: Backwaters Cruise
After breakfast, you check out, and enjoy a scenic 3 hour private car transfer to Alleppey, and board your Houseboat. Cruising along the backwaters of Kerala is an unforgettable experience.
You will be served a luxurious dinner, entertained, and then sleep onboard your luxurious floating vessel!

Days 10-11: Marari Beach
Breakfast on your Houseboat, then a late morning transfer just along the coast by private driver to nearby Marari Beach. Arrive by lunch, unpack and prepare to spend you last two nights enjoying Paradise. For leisure activities you have a beach, world famous backwaters, swimming pool, cycling, village walk and 25 acres of landscape gardens providing you the solace of nature and environment.
